Improving thermal cutting

The goal of Zinser GmbH (since 1898) is to contribute to the improvement of thermal cutting processes such as plasma and oxy-fuel cutting with constantly further developed machines and software.

Where previously thermal cut products for further processing such as:

Applying welding edges with special machines or by hand

• Drilling holes on drilling machines or with magnetic drills
  Tapping threads with tapping arms or “by hand”
  Marking with separate marking machines or with a special felt-tip pen
  Finishing products on a milling machine

were performed separately from, and one after another, the goal is to be able to machine all these processes in one machining cycle on one machine tool in one process run.

Not only does this save a lot of time:

• (Internal) logistical processes to and from other machines are avoided
  The risk of errors is greatly reduced
  Is the utilization of the gantry cutting machine as optimal as possible.

Through operations such as:

• Plasma and/or oxyfuel 2D or 3D cutting
• Drilling, countersinking, tapping, milling, etc.
  Marking (plasma, laser, inkjet or powder)

combining, the total production time for a specific part is greatly reduced.
